Lead Simplify & Web Hooks

| |

Overview

Keith demonstrated the new Lead Simplify API and outbound webhook features, then connected a lead-received webhook to Zapier and Google Sheets.

API Features

  • The API area separates inbound request/response functions from outbound webhooks. A generated API key is required for the output response.
  • POST submits a new lead; GET retrieves industries, forms and leads. An API reference and available fields are provided.

Webhook Setup

  • Keith configured Zapier Webhooks by Zapier with the Catch Hook event, copied its URL into an outbound webhook destination in Lead Simplify, and selected the lead-received event. Lead-sold could also be selected, separately or alongside it.
  • The test event was delivered and received by Zapier. Keith mapped timestamp, industry, lead source, name, phone number, email and ZIP code into a Google Sheets worksheet.

Test and Uses

  • The initial sheet test showed the date incorrectly; Keith noted it should be formatted as plain text. A live form submission then appeared in the sheet with lead details.
  • Leads from Keith’s USA sites can now flow into the sheet. He described possible next steps including automated emails to local pest-control lead buyers and client reporting. Potential inbound API use cases remain unspecified.

Outline

API Functionality

  • Inbound request/response APIs support lead submission and GET requests for industries, forms and leads.
  • The API reference lists usage details and available fields; an API key is required for the output response.

Outbound Webhooks

  • Lead Simplify can send lead events to external services, with setup guidance for Zapier, Pablo, Make and N8N.
  • Keith configured Zapier Catch Hook and selected lead received as the event to send.

Google Sheets Integration

  • Keith connected the Google Sheets account, selected the LS lead sheet and Sheet 1, and mapped lead fields into columns.
  • The test event reached the sheet. The date initially displayed incorrectly; Keith identified plain-text formatting as a possible correction.

Demonstration and Applications

  • A live form submission appeared in the sheet with lead details, including industry, lead source, name, phone number, email and ZIP code.
  • Keith described using the data for lead-buyer outreach and client reporting, and invited suggestions for inbound API uses.
